Perform end-to-end, feature and focused quality assurance testing on all aspects of a complex casino management system.  This includes reviewing and analyzing code for embedded firmware written in C/C++, Windows applications written in C/C++, and SOAP transport software written with .NET 2.0/3.0.  Defect and deficiency tracking, analysis and correction.  Team Lead responsible for organizing a team of testers tasked with releasing a product within a given deadline and ensuring that quality standards are met or exceeded.  Evaluate new features, enhancements and defect corrections and make sure that they are thoroughly covered with a comprehensive test suite, including a regression test set of previously tested features.  Tasked with system installation and configuration including VMWare Workstation, ESX and ESXi environments, and Windows NT4.0 through Windows Server 2008 R2 including configuring Domain Controllers with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP services.  Required to pass security checks, and jurisdictional background checks.  Licensed by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, Florida Division Of Pari-Mutuel Wagering and several regional tribal jurisdictions.   Responsible for technical writing and editing of product Release Notes, Known Issues, Customer Notifications, Installation Guides and other miscellaneous documentation.

Field Application Engineer, Workstation Graphics Business Unit

QA testing and defect reporting for a variety of PC products ranging from mobile workstation (laptop) graphics products to the most cutting edge professional graphics hardware and software.  These products required an overall knowledge of both Microsoft Windows operating systems in addition to several flavors of Linux operating systems.  In addition to bug reproduction, I was also responsible for benchmarking the products against each other, as well as against the competitors’ products in the same Professional Graphics adapter category.  Also represented our group at various tradeshows as both a configuration specialist and a floor-person.

As a technical expert in all aspects of the FireGL family of products, my duties in this position were varied and included but were not limited to:  Driver building, packaging, and posting, involvement in WHQL certification of drivers, field analysis of defective products, field screening of boards en masse for multiple defects, field assembly of products, working with the RMA group to capture defective units for analysis and also recycling of found to be in functioning order, supporting System Integrators and OEM distributors and training the Technical Support department.  I was a liaison with various levels of personnel at companies including Dell, Compaq and Hewlett-Packard, in addition to many smaller System Integrators.  Worked with a remote engineering group located in Germany, Program and Product Management team in San Jose, and sales personnel scattered in various places throughout the world.  This position required a lot of QA testing of both hardware and software on a variety of different hardware platforms and operating systems.  Communicated the results of this testing to our various engineering teams as necessary to ensure the rapid resolution of issues identified.
